The Product.
Our Timber Collection is the result of
years of research and development to create a beautifully finished,
structurally stable and long lasting timber floating floor. The 3 layer
engineered floor uses Hevea as its structural core and is bonded using
class leading Azko-Nobel CASCO adhesives. The surface is then finished
using Klumpp Miraphen UV Top-Coat “anti scratch”® in a patented 7-coat
system that ensures great looks and outstanding performance.
All adhesives used meet the highest
European Standards for formaldehyde emissions and are classed E1
accordingly.
The coating system used on all of our
timber products enable future re-coating of the products should the
need arise and are very environmentally friendly because they contain:
-
No Formaldehyde
-
No
Organic Solvents

A Hevea Core – The Difference.
Hevea Brasiliensis (Rubberwood) is a
plantation species that yields natural latex in its harvestable
lifespan. When the trees have reached an age where latex yield is no
longer adequate, the trees are harvested for lumber. This complete life
cycle occurs every 25 to 30 years.
Today, Hevea is widely accepted as an
excellent substitute for many hardwood species due to its physical and
mechanical properties. It is commonly used in flooring, furniture and
other timber products.
It is a
known fact that a Hevea core in 3 layered engineered flooring is
stronger than other commonly used species in the market. Being a
hardwood species with similar density and characteristics to Oak, Hevea
greatly enhances dimensional stability and withstands external
pressures (such as temperature and humidity) better than other softwood
cored products.
We take great pride in the fact that
the majority of our timber flooring’s composition encompasses the use
of renewable timber resources. In fact 75% of each board is made up
from plantation species which meets international standards for
declaring a product environmentally friendly.
Therefore we proudly introduce to you
an environmentally conscious and beautiful floor.

The Species.
The following is a guide to the range of product we
offer in our Timber Collection. Please be aware that timber is a
natural product. No two timber veneers will ever be the same, even if
they are from the same tree. It is this unique character and variation
that separates a timber floor from other flooring products. Some
species will have more colour and grain variations than others, while
some will be heavily featured with gum veins, knots, insect and borer
trails and other species specific traits. We strongly advise that you
use these images as a guide only, and that you speak with one of
our professional flooring retailers and view a variety of species
samples prior to making your ultimate choice.
